Don’t sell the skin before you caught the bear?

When Terminator Genisys was announced, it was supposed to be a part of a trilogy and a larger reborn franchise (as is the new black in the industry).

The next film Terminator Genisys 2 would be out around in May 2017. But after critics bashed it horribly and the T5 never made box office the plans have been cancelled.

Scott Mendelson of Forbes Magasine had a theory that even a prologue must be able to stand alone if it is to be worth watching in the long run – which Terminator Genisys cannot.

“In short, before you plot your franchise, you should make a halfway decent and mostly stand-alone movie that makes audiences excited for what comes next.” Source

But at a conference in UK (January 24th) mr. Terminator himself was asked “Os there going to be another terminator movie?” And the answer? “Sure!”.

Cameron gets the rights back to the franchise in 2019, and it seems like he is thinking about taking back the franchise Source. All we can do? Wait and see.
